The artwork of Estefania Izaguirre Lozano, better known as Feff Lozano, alludes to the hand’s natural curvatures, that is to say, to their natural state of curling and containment. The artist seems to represent our palms when we walk, as they incorporate alongside the body. The hands’ postures undoubtedly reveal personality traits. Thus, when observing rigid or extended hands, we think of it as unnatural and uncomfortable. Anyways, the artist portrays from the most essential of their dynamism to their versatility. Sometimes, the hands retract themselves as fetuses; others, they extend a phalanx or a few, loosely letting go.

From her stroke’s expressionism and color pallet, we can say they talk about the artist’s gestural complexity, experiences, and dramatism; as well as about feelings running high on a multicolour fleshiness. The author perceives the slightest variation in the muscles, tendons or bones’ movement, as well as the shapes they assume, which transmit endless emotions and sensations. Thus, the artist makes us meditate on what hands let go of and receive… what they expect and reject too, whether it is something material, sentimental or spiritual. In her paintings, it is possible to interpret life stories, which may escape or be held on to through the fingers.

La obra de Estefania Izaguirre Lozano, mejor conocida como Feff Lozano, alude a las curvaturas naturales de las manos, es decir, a su estado natural de recogimiento y contención. Pareciera que la artista representa nuestras palmas, cuando vamos caminando, que se incorporan y amoldan hacia los costados del cuerpo. Sus posturas revelan rasgos de personalidad sin lugar a dudas. Por eso, al observar unas manos rígidas o estiradas se nos figura antinatural e incómodo. De cualquier manera, la pintora capta desde lo esencial de su dinamismo, hasta su versatilidad. A veces, éstas se repliegan sobre sí mismas como fetos, otras, extienden alguna de las falanges y otras más, se sueltan con holgura. Cabe destacar que todas permanecen de cabeza como si fueran entidades independientes y autónomas al ser humano.

Respecto del expresionismo de sus trazos y de la paleta de colores, podemos deducir que nos hablan de su complejidad gestual, de sus vivencias y de sus dramatismos, al igual que de una carnosidad multicolor a flor de piel. La autora percibe la mínima variación de movimiento de los músculos, tendones o huesos, así como las posiciones que adoptan, las cuales transmiten un sinfín de emociones y sensaciones. Por lo tanto, la pintora nos hace reflexionar sobre lo que sueltan y reciben las manos…lo que esperan y rechazan también, ya sean cosas materiales, sentimentales o espirituales. En sus cuadros es posible interpretar historias de vida que pueden escaparse o guardarse por entre los dedos.
